Recruitment styles have changed, developed and advanced in time and one of the newer approaches organizations use in the modern day is Gamification. As an example, we can point out how Google uses a billboard mathematical riddle in recruiting where people have to solve an equation and candidates who successfully achieve the task end up being ideal candidates. (Boghani 2022)
Gamification uses gaming technology, design, and theory in a non-gaming context. It is used as a marketing strategy to capture good talent and it has been introduced as a fine alternative to the other traditional recruiting approaches. (wali, 2022)

How does Gamification help in recruitment?
1. Improve brand recognition
Adopting gamification to recruit talent makes the hiring process much more enjoyable alongside making it much more engaging to the candidates applying. By doing so it improves brand recognition (wali, 2022).
2. Reach for a broad range of talent
Gamification facilitates employers to reach various types of candidates who may have never heard of such job roles before. Therefore employers are able to select the exact number of suitable recruitments without falling short and to select the best of the best (Wali, 2022).
3. Making the interview process as exciting as possible
The use of gamification that are interesting and interactive could make the applicant feel less pressure and make the process not feel like a regular interview. As a result, the candidate will engage more and the employer could see the full potential of the candidate (Boghani 2022).
4. unbiased
According to a research done by Johnson et al (2016), old recruiting processes could be biased and unfair. The study highlights that 81% of the employers identify that unconscious biasness has influenced their
decisions where they have missed out on the top talent. Therefore the use of gamification would enable to remove the bias aspect and to improve on recruiting the right candidates.
5. Instant results
The most amazing part of gamification is that it takes less time and gives out good results. Giving out results with feedback makes the candidate feel better and could work on any shortcomings in the next intake. As a result, it brings things to a quick conclusion (Boghani, 2022).
Conclusion
In the modern world, the recruitment strategies have evolved with more innovative and creative solutions. Gamification can be identified as one such promising strategy. It helps tackle modern problems in the business world such as talent shortages in a more efficient, futuristic and productive manner and it attracts modern generational talent to the company. As a result, majority of the future-minded companies are known to use gamification in their recruitment process.
